Almo |
Born in Paris, ALMO was plunged into a heady musical atmosphere from earliest childhood. He studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and after returning to France, he began a career as a composer, arranger and performer in advertising and for the cinema. He wrote the original soundtrack for the feature film Le Souffleur, directed by G. PIXIE (produced by Europa Corp./Avalanches) and released in March 2005. But ALMO’s real love is songwriting. Brought up on soul (Stevie WONDER, Marvin GAYE) and pop (Paul McCARTNEY, Cat STEVENS), this talented songwriter is now striking out on his own.

Armande Altaï |
Forget the screens, forget the clichés... Listen to this album as if it had come out of nowhere because it has. Time has taken the edges off the angles, off the abrasiveness and sharpness. Now you can hear the tenderness, the warmth and the melancholy too. Leaving aside all misunderstanding, we can now recognise Armande for what she is: a unique artiste, a proud and fragile mauve-accented poet. |

Ricardo Teté Featuring : Irène Jacob, David Linx, Hamilton de Hollanda, |
If music were coffee, Ricardo Teté’s music would be a subtle blend. A learned and an innocent union of elements that aren’t often brought together. Sweetness and mystery. A certain naiveté; bright colours and childhood; a dash of intellect, of distance, of crystal. Instantly appealing melodies and multilayered lyrics. ![]() ![]() |

Charlier/Sourisse Featuring Kurt Rosenwinkel |
They form the kind of duo that jazz fans love. Their careers seem so closely interlinked and complementary that people will speak about ‘Charlier/Sourisse’ as if they were a single person. You hardly know which one is André and which one Benoît. The two artists seem to share a view of life and of music, which they have been making together for over fifteen years, both as a duo and alongside Didier Lockwood and Jean-Jacques Milteau. |

Robin McKelle |
It’s a remarkable voice -- a soul-infused alto tinged with haunting echoes of the postwar jazz greats. For years its possessor, Robin McKelle, has inched closer to her inevitable destiny with the spotlight. Having shared stages with revered artists such as Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Terence Blanchard, Michael McDonald, Jon Secada and others, McKelle now assumes center stage with a debut solo album that exuberantly broadens the boundaries of retro-swing. Plus encore il avait alors conquis tout un public |
Produced by trumpeter, arranger and clinician Willie Murillo (Brian Setzer Orchestra, Aimee Mann, LeAnn Rimes), Introducing Robin McKelle evokes the jazzy spirit of 1940’s America, while retaining a contemporary edge that speaks of a new wartime. With its well-struck balance of potent swing and fearlessly sentimental balladry, the album heralds the arrival of a peerless interpretive artist. |

Stéphane Guillaume |
Stéphane Guillaume : Saxophones, Clarinets, Flutes, Frédéric Favarel : Guitars, Marc Buronfosse : Double Bass , Antoine Banville : Drum , Produced by : Stéphane Huchard The present album, like its predecessor, contains no vain displays of instrumental virtuosity. On the contrary, in the delicacy of its associations, in the fragile and airy beauty that it evokes, the record remains as if deliberately apart from whatever might make it too demonstrative. |
Free of grand exuberant solos and mere technical feats, Stéphane Guillaume’s world exists inside the framework of a group whose members are each in search of a common sound, within which the smallest melodic thrill, the fine details of the arrangements and the subtlety of the writing are immediately perceptible. |

Pedro Aznar |

Featuring : Mercedes Sosa, Gilberto Gil, Joao Donato, Nilda Fernandès One of the most respected and best-loved artists in South America, Pedro Aznar leads us on a journey through a rich musical tradition ranging across three continents: the ancestral song of the Andean peoples, the rhythmic legacy of Africa, and the European musical heritage, all seen through a contemporary prism with many facets. |
A unique voice, not only in terms of his remarkable vocal gifts, but of his musical and poetic vision too, Aznar is an artist who has brought his work to maturity while staying faithful to his original inner calling. Songs of joy and longing, songs to cry and celebrate to, songs of raging fury and delicate tenderness. |

Benjamin Moussay Trio Swimming Pool |
Benjamin Moussay : Piano et + |
In Benjamin Moussay’s work, the pianist is inseparable from the composer. The pianist completes in performance what the composer has conceived, while occasionally adding electronic effects to give a finishing touch to his vision. And even when playing a piece by Debussy or a song by Serge Gainsbourg, Moussay makes use of the same narrative sense and still underlines the visual aspect of the music. |

SARAH MORROW & The american all stars in Paris FEATURING HAL SINGER & RHODA SCOTT |
Sarah Morrow - Trombone Hal Singer - Tenor Sax Rhoda Scott - Hammond B3 Wayne Dockery & Peter Giron - Doublebass Jeff Boudreaux & John Betsch - Drums |
First appearing in Ray Charles and Dee Dee Bridgewater’s bands, the trombonist Sarah Morrow is one of the most active jazzwomen. On All Stars in Paris, her third album, she has brought together several American legends living in France to play some well-established standards. The record features the great Rhoda Scott, the master of the Hammond organ, and Hal Singer, a worthy representative of the Texan school of tenor saxophone. They are joined by Wayne Dockery and Peter Giron on the bass, and John Betsch and Jeff Boudreaux on the drums. In addition to the sheer pleasure of playing music together, the musicians have here paid a homage to Paris, a city which, from the 1930s onwards, has welcomed American jazzmen with the respect or the fervour which has sometimes been refused them on the other side of the Atlantic. Between jazz and Paris, the love affair continues. |

This "drummer for the great" has blended bright arpeggios on the kora, insistent spirals of the Sahelian bards and the ornate style of the voices, as well as jazz improvisations and hints of classical music. The music thus moves between the white Africa of the Berber nomads and the black Africa of the great Empires fed by the Niger. An outstanding drummer and percussionist, Mokthar has played with some of the greatest musicians : Salif Keita, Youssou'N'Dour, Joe Zawinul, Alpha Blondy, Jean-Luc Ponty, Jaco Pastorius, Manu Dibango, Carlinhos Brown, Carlos Santana, Eddy Louis, Mori Kanté..... |
